Qualifications and Study Experience
Maariyah studied for her law degree at Staffordshire University, obtaining a First Class degree with Honours. She then went on to complete her Legal Practice Course and Master’s Degree at the University of Law in Birmingham.
Work Experience
Maariyah began her legal career at Thompson’s Solicitor working a Pre-Litigation Executive working on cases involving personal injury, prisoner assault cases and road traffic accidents.
After gaining experience in this field, Maariyah initially started her career in Family Law. Maariyah worked on a range of matters including Children Act Proceedings, Financial Proceedings and obtaining emergency protection orders such as Non-Molestation Orders. Maariyah also has vast experience conducting her own advocacy in family law related matters.
Maariyah wished to continue to develop her knowledge and skills as a Solicitor and changed specialisms to Litigation. Maariyah now works in Litigation, Commercial and (Employment) Departments and enjoys all three areas as they are closely related. Maariyah aims to resolve clients’ concerns by paying attention to detail in order to achieve the best result possible result.

Maariyah enjoys spending quality time with my family and friends. She also loves to travel and explore different cities and cultures. She is always open to trying new experiences and activities, not always with the greatest results!
