As the festive season is upon us, we are delighted to showcase our “Tree of Hope, Health and Giving” at the Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival. This year, we have created a special tribute to our much loved former Managing Director, John Roberts who sadly passed away last month. By using his favourite saying “Keep Pedalling”, we incorporated bicycles into our theme to encourage everyone to keep going .
In addition to our tribute to John, Luke Boxall, Associate Director in our Family Care Team also came up with an idea to support the Worcester Food Bank. Earlier on this year, Luke ran the London Marathon to raise money for this wonderful cause. With this in mind, we contacted the Cathedral and they have very kindly given us the approval to place baskets under our tree to encourage visitors to provide food donations whist visiting the Cathedral. A shopping list of items accepted is displayed next to our tree or can be found on Worcester Food Bank’s website – https://worcester.foodbank.org.uk/.
This year, it would be fantastic if together, we can spread some goodwill, acts of kindness and generosity throughout the festive season for those less fortunate. If you are able to visit the Cathedral, please kindly spare an item or two in support the Worcester Food Bank as we are sure this will be most appreciated.
So when can you visit? Please follow the link below to have a look at opening times and information for over the Christmas period.
