A £1.7million payout hung on the balance of Betfred’s terms and conditions.
Last week Andrew Green was awarded his prize by the a Judge, after a long three year legal battle, when the Judge ruled that one of their terms and conditions was “just not apt to cover the circumstances of this case at all”
Betfred argued that there was a defect in the game that Mr Green had been playing meaning that he was more likely to win.
There are two morals to this story:
1. The house does not always win
2. Your terms and conditions are important and getting them right even more so.
