Waldrons Solicitors and Prosperity Wealth recently sponsored Mary Steven’s Hospice for the annual “Black County Duck Race and Family Festival.” The event was a huge success and attracted thousands of people to the Waterfront, Merry Hill.
Mary Steven’s Hospice have announced that the Duck Race successfully raised over an incredible £19,000! This is an outstanding achievement and is a testament to the generosity and community spirit of all their participants, sponsors, and volunteers.
Dawn Cash, Director and Head of our Private Client Team said “We are overwhelmed by the community’s support and participation, the funds raised will go a long way in helping Mary Steven’s Hospice and we would like to thank everyone who supported this truly amazing fundraiser.”
Our entry Duck William Waldron (created by our very own “crafty duck designer” Lisa Martin-Booth), had an uncanny resemblance to our Founder William Waldron and attracted the attention of William Waldrons’ Great Grandaughter (pictured below)! This was an incredibly heart-warming and overwhelming experience for our friendly Waldrons colleagues who volunteered to help out on our stand for the day.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and thanks to Waldrons Team Members – Dawn Cash, Jessica Bird, Cheryl Styles, Christine Goco, and Liz Colesby, not forgetting our special guest Lola the Labrador who dressed up for the occasion and was a hit with visitors attending our stand. The Annual Duck Race reflects the strong community spirit that defines this event.
