Hello, my name is Courtney Stephenson and I am a Solicitor in the Corporate and Employment Department at Waldrons Solicitors.
I would firstly like to give you a bit of background about myself. I have been with Waldrons throughout my legal career and started as an admin assistant in the Commercial Team whilst I was studying my law degree at Birmingham City University. I then went on to complete my Training Contract at Waldrons, after attaining a Master’s Degree, and have always had a passion for Commercial work.
I qualified as a Solicitor in August 2020 during the pandemic and continued to work throughout, helping businesses regain their corporate and commercial presence during a difficult time.
I have recently come back to work after having a short break to have a little boy, and I am excited to build a presence in the West Midlands and surrounding areas. This brings me onto wanting to encourage and inspire people of any age, background, race or gender to promote diversity and equal opportunities in any chosen career, thus showcasing positivity, strength and willingness to succeed whilst building on the valuable potential that the current and future generations can bring to our society. My journey into law has played a pivotal part of my development and education which has enhanced my skills, knowledge, ability and confidence to grow. This for me certainly Inspires Inclusion in a world where it is important to have a presence that is respected within all communities, careers and cultures.
I specialise in assisting businesses with general commercial matters, including drafting and reviewing service contracts, terms and conditions and employment contracts etc. and can also assist with mergers and acquisitions if you are thinking about buying or selling your company.
