Black Country Women’s Aid
Today, everyone at our offices across the region have supported Black Country Women’s Aid, by dressing down from their usual office wear to go for a casual look and making a donation for the privilege. There was also a Pumpkin Carving competition to help raise funds!
What is BCWA?
BCWA is a charitable organisation that works tirelessly to ‘listen, support and care’ for women, children and men who flee from domestic abuse, sexual assault, rape and human trafficking situations, offering a range of support services including refuge; counselling; community support aswell as assisting with rebuilding lives after such traumas. It’s Crisis Fund, to which our donations have gone to, is used to help people start again when they leave the refuge e.g. to buy furniture, bedding, household items, children’s toys and food hampers.
Sabrina Banga, one of our Care solicitors at Dudley office asked her all colleagues here at Waldrons to “get involved and help raise as much money as possible for those who are in need of it”. The response has been brilliant as everyone is keen to help make a difference to victims of abuse and exploitation.
