FAQs
If I know I’m guilty of an offence then why do I need a solicitor at Court?
Even if you are guilty of an offence before the Court you still need a solicitor at Court to advance mitigation on your behalf. Somebody fighting your corner to put your version of events forward and explain the circumstances of why something has happened. It will make a big difference to the outcome and sentence that you receive.
Will it cost me to have a solicitor at Court?
Legal aid is available for representation before the Court in criminal proceedings. The majority of people do qualify for legal aid. At Waldrons we shall be in a position to advice you on an application for legal aid and your options if you do not.
